The use of reds helps bring out the main figure on the more plained colored background, yet the more extensive scenery on the left helps keep the whole picture balanced, and the eye moving about the picture. You just don't see enough expressionism on dev art anymore. It's just a shame.

This is a great example of how can one express so many things, by painting so little. Just few colours and few simple strokes of brush, but the effect is amazing. Splendid work.

this is my fav piece in ur gallery, i love shannell's shadowy structure just dancing alone in the park, very nice dark colors on her.

Shannell is an extraodinary dancer. When she danced here in Johannesburg I would watch her spellbound with a small sketchbook in my hand scribbling away. Then she left
and is now working in the UK. She danced as though weightless.
